30 Days of Meditation Challenge: Days 8 & 9

It’s amazing what nipping negative thoughts in the bud can do. I have a tendency to ruminate over negative thoughts – why the negative thoughts exist, are they justified, how I can stop thinking them – and now, any time a negative thought pops into my head, I ask myself:

  1. Can I do anything about it?
  2. If not, let it go. Stop thinking about it immediately.
  3. If so, what will I do to make it better?

In most cases, I can’t do anything about it. Things in the past, things I’m hoping for in the future… why ruminate over something you can’t change? I’m finding peace in accepting the present.
